Air traffic management
Navigating efficiently and safely
Air Traffic Management (ATM) plays a vital role in ensuring safe and seamless air travel. Moreover, a more efficient and digitalised ATM can contribute considerably to eco-friendlier aviation.
At the European level, ASD is a key interlocutor on ATM matters for the European institutions and agencies such as EASA and Eurocontrol, especially via its Air Traffic Management Committee. ASD is also actively involved in the Single European Sky ATM Research 3 Joint Undertaking (SESAR 3 JU) together with many of its members. At the global level, ASD represents the interests of the European aeronautics manufacturers at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) via the international organization for aerospace industry associations (ICCAIA).
