Building a stronger Europe
In response to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and its impact on the European security landscape, it has become imperative for EU and NATO members to ramp up their defence production capacities – which is a complex process that requires careful long-term planning and consideration of political, financial and entrepreneurial factors.
What is ASD doing?
ASD feeds the defence industry’s views into the ongoing discussion at European level to ensure that policy initiatives aiming to foster defence production capacities match the reality of European companies along the entire value chain.
Ramping up armament production capacity needs careful long-term planning and commitment ... industry would welcome a well-structured and coordinated plan at EU level to support an increase of European defence production capacities.
